Does the Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor detect mold?
The Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor detects elements that can contribute to or result from mold growth, including Humidity, Particulate Matter (PM 2.5) and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).

What is Particulate Matter (PM 2.5) and what does it entail?
The Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor measures Particulate Matter that is between 0.3µm and 2.5µm in diameter. Particulate matter (PM 2.5) is a mixture of dust particles, dirt and liquid droplets suspended in the air. PM is reported in micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m³). PM can be directly emitted from wind-blown dust, mold spores, pollen and wildfires. PM found indoors may include particles that have migrated from outdoor sources like pollen or dirt and have originated from indoor sources like dusting, pet dander, vacuuming, burning candles, cooking, use of fireplaces or smoking.

What are Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and what do they entail?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are a variety of chemicals that easily evaporate into the air at room temperature. The total VOCs are reported as a relative change in intensity on a scale from 1 to 100. VOCs evaporate into the air we breathe from a wide array of sources. Common sources of VOCs in the home can range from the aroma of citrus fruits or scented candles to paints, cleaning supplies, pesticides, building materials and furnishings, office equipment such as printers, craft materials like glues and markers and a variety of cosmetic products.

Does the Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor detect Radon or CO2?
The Amazon Smart Air Quality Monitor does not measure Carbon Dioxide (CO2) or Radon. This device detects and reports on 5 components of air quality, including: Particulate Matter (PM 2.5), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Humidity, and Temperature
